The bottled drinking water market has more than once become the subject of research by the BCGroup agency, one of which was conducted in November last year.

The key purpose of the study: assessing the level of brand awareness and calculating the capacity of the represented market.

Tasks that were set for the study:

  • assessment of the awareness of drinking water brands (top-of-mind, spontaneous and induced awareness));
  • determining the frequency of consumption/ordering drinking water;
  • calculation of market capacity: total and by segment;
  • identification of the main criteria for consumer choice.

An online survey was used as a method of collecting information. Organizations and individuals who purchase 19 liter bottled water for home/office took part in the survey.

It is worth noting that among legal entities who agreed to take part in the survey, only one in five is a consumer of the market, and the population survey indicators are much lower, approximately one in 40 purchases bottled water of 19 liters. However, both of them actually have one set of important selection criteria, these are the quality and price of the product.
