Population mobility, modes of transport

Population mobility

Last year, BCGroup conducted a sociological study on the mobility of residents of the region.

The main purpose of the study was to determine the structure of the types of transport used for intercity travel.

The following tasks were set for the study:

  • determine population mobility during the calendar year;
  • identify the most commonly used types of transport for transportation;
  • identify the number of trips depending on the time of year;
  • determine the average cost of a trip depending on the type of transport.

An online survey of residents of the region was used as methods for collecting information. The sample was distributed among counties of residence in proportion to population size. The total sample size was 3,500 questionnaires.
