Attitude to pension reform

Pension reform

Last year, the research company BCGroup carried out a study on the topic: the population’s attitude to pension reform.

The purpose of the study was to obtain an assessment of the economic and social well-being of the population, their ideas about the future.

Tasks included in the research program:

  • population’s assessment of their current financial situation;
  • identifying sources of income to ensure life in old age;
  • assessment of the role of the state in ensuring old age for Russians;
  • assessment of the population’s readiness to increase the retirement age for a larger pension;
  • assessment of the level of awareness of the population about the existence of the mandatory funded part of the pension.

A formalized online survey was used as a data collection method. More than 3,000 people from various regions took part in the survey. The respondents answered the survey questions and expressed their attitude towards pension reform.
